HIVE (Player corporation)HIVE
History:HIVE was founded by two brothers in 2003, Thor Thor and Scarface. Its purpose to be a place to gain experience in operating space crafts and theyr system, explore deep space, gather resources, contacts and not at least few friends. In early 2004 the corporation 'Insidious Rhapsody' merged with HIVE, after its members had been in constant contact and friendly co-op's. That year HIVE grew in size, being a medium size corporation with 40-60 members at all times. Hivers, as they became called, went regularly on various operations, both in mining, exploring and assisting certain contacts in selected factions. Even though those 'operations' included only Hivers, all profits were split evenly between participants, HIVE as a corp never taxed its members acivitys, the brothers even used to spend partion of theyr income to help new pilots get started. HIVE was a corp of individuals working together with no real assets of its own. After HIVE became medium size, it went on mining operations into null and low sec space, so HIVE was forced to fight against capsulers pirates at times, at the time ORE ships were not available to capsulers, so Hivers went with battleships rigged to mine small amounts into theyr small holds, using industrial ships to move the ore to empire space for refining, because no structures or facilities were in null sec at that time, this was long an ardous task, and very dangerous, at times the loss was more than the gain. In 2005 HIVE founded Steel Daggers to be used as a recruiting corp, to filter out members for HIVE, Steel Daggers was also used for scouting and scanning for HIVE. At that time HIVE had several starbases in low sec systems mining and reacting moon materials. Early 2006 HIVE was in a standstill, less activity of members, and the retirement of some, also big bully alliances killed everything that went into theyr null sec space, led to Scarface to join Eye of God to get the experience he wanted, stationed in Impass region, he spent 7 good months there before returning to HIVE, few other Hivers followed him in his venture, a week after he returned from Impass with his assets, enemy factions invaded and captured Impass. In 2007 HIVE was operating in the drone regions as a member of O X I D E alliance, but HIVE returned to empire after O X I D E was pushed out of B7-LYC, HIVE went and put up a starbase POS in Caldari space for research and developement. Every hiver with bad Caldari faction standings moved to Steel Daggers while this took place. Beginning of 2008, HIVE had joined DAMAGE INC. alliance, while Steel Daggers went to Providence region, and joined SEV3RANCE alliance several weeks later. HIVE just stayed quarter of a year in Aridia region before going to caldari space again. HIVE joined Apocalypse Now. at 2008.12.31 RulesHIVE is a member of the Apocalypse Now. alliance. HIVE follows the alliance rules, so read em before you break em. HIVE uses English as official language (Icelandic is understood by most members). The following are ethics rules that Hivers are expected to follow: Hivers do not do this, its forbidden and bad taste: 1. Steal Stealing is the lowest of the low. It means breaking a trust towards another capsuleer. If another capsuleer trusts you enough to let you handle his stuff, then that trust is worth more than the stuff your fondling with. Hivers are to be trusted. In the Viking times in Iceland, a theft was the most shameful thing one could do. 2. Scamming / Lying Scamming is boring and is usually unintelligent and repeated. You must usually tell a lie to make the 'scam' work. Both lying and scamming is bad reputation for you and your clan. What a Hiver promises, a Hiver delivers. In the Viking times in Iceland, your word was your most important possession. 3. Piracy Robbing a fellow capsuleer using force, or threat of violence. Hiver should never break concord sanctioned actions in regulated space 0.1 - 1.0 Only times when its allowed to do violence on to other capsuleers, is when at war or when defending yourself, alliance expeditions in 0.0 uses alliance rules. In the Viking times in Iceland, when you went away to viking, it meant going on an expedition, either it be trading or raiding. Hivers are encouraged to do the following, its polite and good manners: 1. Help When another podder in your ring of brotherhood is in need of something, help him as you would expect yourself to be helped. If unknown capsuleer asks for help, its prudent to check if its a scam or a trap before you give your aid, carelessness is your own fault. In the Viking times in Iceland, it was most honorable to help another when in need, although sometimes the results differed. 2. Teamwork When working together we can get the most rewards. All HIVE ops are split between each participant. Hivers do not use the work of his fellow members to enrich himself. In the Viking times in Iceland, your goals were the same as your clans goals. 3. Patience Patience is a virtue. In the world of EVE, patience is the only way to get yourself and your clan to the top of the food chain. We do not follow quick solutions that might cost us more in the long run. In the Viking times in Iceland, Vikings planned next winter year in advance. Not a rule, just good for the swarm: If you have npc standings at a corp or faction, try to have em as high as you can, having 9+ standings raises the corp average and benefits all Hivers.
Also high sec.status gives standings at concord stations. We are high in Caldari/Amarr standings, so it's also good idea to avoid missions/situations that involve loosing standings with them. Standings makes a great opportunity to make an fleet operation to raise one or more Hivers standings to good levels, and its highly profitable. Top Contributors For This Page |
