History

Ghost in the Machine (-GIM-) is a small Covert Operations based corporation. It was founded by Gilbert Ryle.

The corporation was started as a home for experienced pilots who wanted a career in tactical PvP with a covert twist. -GIM- specialises in using Covert Ops Frigates, Stealth_bombers, Force Recons and Black Ops. However, they are fully capable in all ship classes up to and including Capitals.

The core of the corporation came from long experience with Agony Empire Unleashed. It is from this background that -GIM- strives for being excellent PvP pilots using tactics to gain the upper hand.

In April 2008 -GIM- joined Tygris Alliance based in the JQV constellation in southern Syndicate. Tygris was formed by various ex-Agony Empire Unleashed pilots that the -GIM- membership had flown with in the past. Over the next 8 months -GIM- fought alongside the other Tygris corps in a number of actions. The first was to defend JQV. Next was to repel UNAT from the 35-RK9 system. After this a period of roaming PvP was punctuated by occasional engagements against NOTR.

The next major engagement was to remove the incumbents from the TA constellation of Syndicate. This was a short, sharp campaign and led to Tygris leaving JQV and settling in TA. Eventualy TA came to the attention of BoB and Red Alliance. In passing, MAX destroyed Tygris POSs whilst looking for RA. A number of engagements left the area in ruins but MAX and RA moved on. Tygris rebuilt and spent the next few months consolidating.

Tygris then moved to PVH in order to have better access to roaming PvP. In the meantime, -GIM- were asked to accompany Agony Empire Empire on a roadtrip to Curse where -GIM- prepared the area and carried out extensive reconnaissance. After a few weeks, -GIM- returned to help with the dissolution of Tygris and integration into Huzzah Federation.

After 4 months fighting within Syndicate, -GIM- decided to leave Huzzah Federation for pastures new, where they would be able to use their skills to the utmost of their abilities and help find the right place to pursue their long term goals. They are currently operating in the North taking on targets of opportunity.
