Origins

Established 2006.05.17 by a small group of pilots from the Seraph Guard with mutual interest in moving out to nullsec space. Originally existing as a mission-running group in Caldari space, low-sec mining efforts led to PVP as a defensive effort once local piracy had set in.

Ganja Labs then existed as a mixed group, with some pilots continuing to experiment with low-sec PvP, and others focusing on skill training and mission standings. Due to the close RL friendships between these pilots, this unlikely combination continued to exist with little friction until the advent of the Astral Wolves chapter in the Corporation's history.

During a chance engagement with a member of a founding Corporation of the Astral Wolves (a 0.0 renter alliance), Ganja Labs was given it's first opportunity to try out nullsec space.

Astral Wolves Alliance

In late 2006, as a result of the opportunity that the invitation to join Astral Wolves <WOLF> Alliance, the Corporation geared itself up for the first move to nullsec space. Alongside notable Coporations such as The Knights Templar [T-K-T], Mega Mining Corporation [KERN], and Hammer of Light [HROLT], Ganja Labs [RESIN] would establish itself as a PVP-oriented group that was eager to "learn the ropes" of 0.0.

Astral Wolves OP (ca. Dec 2006)

Membership within the Astral Wolves <WOLF> alliance afforded [RESIN] pilots and leadership their first experiences with operating in nullsec, POS management, NPC ratting, and Alliance membership and associated politics.

Astral Wolves <WOLF> was formed as a nullsec renter Alliance, as an opportunity for a few established Empire-based Corporations to combine with several newer groups in an attempt to maintain 0.0 sovereign space. The larger member Corporations had established POS bases from which membership would rat\mine out of, primarily in home system Q-TBHW, but as far away as HJO-84 and station system LS-JEP. Alliance forces would rally at a local POS base to defend against incoming hostile groups. This was the Astral Wolves' (and subsequently Ganja Labs') biggest strength as the defense against incoming hostiles bred a brotherhood between active pilots in the fledgling Alliance.

Hostilities with neighbouring coalition SMASHKILL would eventually come to a header with the Astral Wolves' soverignity challenged, shortly after the collapse of the Center for Disease Creation (Alliance) - the primary force responsible for protecting the lightly-equipped Astral Wolves from sovereignty challenges.

Corporate Theft

Several weeks after increased hostilities with neighbouring alliance R0ADKILL and SMASH, Ganja Labs [RESIN] experienced it's first brush with Corporate theft in the name of one Templar Fury. After prolonged talks with CEO Moarkus Drayson, capsuleer Templar Fury was admitted to the Corporation on a trial basis. He quickly learned of the Corporate POS locations in Q-TBHW and moved out to the area under the ruse of assisting with Corporate operations.

On 26 December 2006, [RESIN] pilots logged in to an empty POS tower, all Corporate ships (including a very expensive Battleship, Artemis Omicron's Navy Issue Megathron). After short deliberation and analysis of recent Corporate activity, Templar Fury was identified as the thief and removed from the Corporation.

Shortly thereafter, most of the ships were recovered through a joint effort between Alliance corporations, as SMASH members were sighted jumping in-system in capsules and exiting in the stolen ships. Although over 80% of the stolen ships were recovered, the Megathron Navy Issue was never found. Many of the [RESIN] members had resented it's owner, Artemis Omicron, for bringing such an expensive ship out, and lost little sleep over it's disappearance.
