Biography

At first sight, most people don't know what to make of Evil Tactician. Like many male Deteis, he has the ability to quickly analyse the essential information in any situation and develops a strategic solution on the fly. Unlike the average Deteis however, he will often bend the rules in order to do what he feels is the right thing - especially when the lives of his friends are at stake.

His friends and shipmates know him for his razor sharp wit and quick judgement of both people and situations. It takes a long time to be considered a friend, and even longer to be truly trusted by ET, as evidenced by the extremely small inner circle of friends that accompany him in his travels.

Of course, Evil Tactician is not his true identity. This he has kept such a closely guarded secret that none of his companions know what he is really called.

Childhood

Little is known about ET's childhood. Through a few rare moments of bonding with his shipmates over some strong beverages, it has become known that a tragic event in his early years have left deep emotional scars. Whatever happened during those years has established an intense hatred of the Gallente Federation and everything it represents.

The Academy

The earliest official record anyone has managed to find so far is ET's enrollment as a capsuleer at Uitra VI - Moon 4 - State War Acadamy School, supposedly aged 18. (YC 100 (23335 A.D.))

During the intense training programme, it was quickly discovered that ET had a strong grasp of tactical analysis. Achieving top marks in almost every aspect of the training programme, his instructors strongly believed that they had found a cadet who would graduate with top honours. Their confidence in his abilities allowed ET the opportunity to lead a small group of cadets into a remote Caldari system on a routine patrol.

The patrol included the Achur sisters Aemane and Zyle Elensar, and 2 other promising cadets. Flying a Merlin, heading up a squadron of 4 Condors, the patrol was uneventful for the first few hours. This quickly changed when Aemane shouted excitedly on the comms: "contact, contact, 3 'o clock - 3 Gallentean ships!". Scanners confirmed, just over 150km away from the patrol a Gallente transport ship with 2 cruiser escorts was flying through the system. Having the sun in their backs, the Gallenteans wouldn't have a visual on them yet - but it would certainly not be long before their scanners would detect the patrol.

Their orders were clear: in the unlikely event that hostile presence would be encountered, they were to report it to HQ and get out - fast. Making a quick scan, Zyle Elensar reported that the transport was full of medical supplies, the electronic ID showing they were stolen from the Caldari State. She also detected hundreds of life signs, suggesting the ship was filled with medical personnel and patients. One of the other young cadets, a rather impulsive fellow named Andy, was quick to mention that these supplies would save thousands of innocent Gallante lives. This was exactly the comment that ET was waiting for. He could not hide the anger in his voice as he barked his command: "All pilots, break off and engage primary target, fire at will!", followed by the bright glow of his Afterburner engaging and one of the cruisers lighting up as primary target on the HUD of the other capsuleers.

The following moments were a blur - everything was over as quickly as it started. The Elensar sisters followed the order without hesitation. Andy, the young pilot, hesitated in following the order and broke off from combat instead. Surprise was on the side of the patrol as the first Gallente cruiser was quickly dealt with, but to everyone's horror the transport engaged a webifier on the fifth member of their patrol, a newly arrived but promising cadet. The second Gallente cruiser opened fire - tearing holes in the frigate. "Nigel is hit, I repeat, Nigel is..!", screamed Zyle. Holes turned into smoke, and smoke into fire and before Zyle could finish her sentence, a bright explosion replaced the location where Nigel’s Condor flew just a moment ago.

Enraged by their loss, ET’s patrol turned on the second cruiser with fury, their rockets screaming through the dark background of cold space. The Gallent transport ship, equally angered by the loss of their Cruiser switched targets to Aemane. Fear replaced anger as the second cruiser dodged a volley of rockets and opened fire on Aemane's frigate. Zyle screamed in terror as the bullets raced across space, hitting her sister's ship. The cruiser turned around for another volley to finish the kill, squeezing his trigger. Aemane’s heart skipped a beat as she anticipated her inevitable death, and she closed her eyes as the bullets approached. And then... nothing. Opening her eyes, blinking in surprise as a bright light filled the surroundings. ET had blown up the transport, ruthlessly slaying the hundreds of medical staff - but saving her life as the webifier released her and her ship shot across space.

Her heart still pounding, Aemane looked towards ET’s ship. "Thank you..", she stumbled as ET banked right and turned towards Andy, the pilot who had disobeyed his orders. Realising his intent, Aemane screamed, "Evil, NO! Don't do this!" Even as she uttered the words, two rockets shot through space towards the disobedient cadet. Andy barely had time to scream before his ship exploded in a ball of fire.

Upon their return to the station, ET was immediately hauled into a briefing with the furious Commander of the Academy. Two promising pilots dead, another frigate severely damaged and the opportunity to capture a ship full of Caldari supplies and Gallante prisoners shattered. Though they were subjected to rigorous questioning about their squadron leaders decisions, the Elensar sisters were never entirely truthful with their superiors about what happened that day. Based on their truncated account of events and his previous exemplary record, Evil Tactician was reluctantly allowed to remain in the Academy.

ET graduated without honours, though he was grudgingly awarded a medal for saving the life of another cadet. Having proven beyond a doubt their loyalty towards him, ET allowed the Elensars to join him after their time at the Academy. They remain among his closest friends and have worked closely together ever since graduating.

Friendship

For the next few years, Evil Tactician and the Elensar sisters operated a small independent mining business. The income was modest but they scraped together enough ISK to purchase a few new vessels. During these years their paths frequently crossed with a Caldari mining specialist named Tear Anasarsy, who became a good friend. Tear had been running his own operation for quite some time and he passed on some valuable knowledge about mining.

During this period ET also met a young man who went by the code name of CompactDisc7227 who was in charge of a small corporation called MultiStar Protectorate Militia. During the months to come, CD relentlessly tried to convince ET to join his corporation - at first with limited success. Eventually ET asked Aemane to do a full business analysis on CD's corporation, and he began a full risk assessment to protect the financial future of both his friends and himself before he could make any decision about whether or not to commit their group to the corporation.

During this assessment period, they made several trips to Sankkasen where one of the major offices of MultiStar was located. On one such trip, Zyle and ET were passing the time late one night in the bar of a space station in orbit around the 8th moon of Sankkasen VII. They had been sitting a while, when a gentle looking young woman by the name of Ythyn La'Vesta walked over to their table. She gave them a detailed description, asking if they had seen this person. Whilst they were unable to help Ythyn, the three ended up chatting and soon learnt that she had a wicked sense of humour and a tongue to match. They spent a very enjoyable evening together and exchanged details, promising to get in touch next time Ythyn was in the system.

MultiStar

A dramatic escalation of the Caldari-Gallente war assisted in the decision making process. As supply lines were raided and shipments lost, the benefits of working in a larger organisation were obvious to all involved. Eventually they agreed that employment by MultiStar carried sufficient benefit and agreed to employment.

The corporation was part of the Caldari Militia and focused mainly on the construction of warships, of which the militia was in desperate need. Combining the hard work of mining with the facilities to refine ore and manufacture combat-capable vessels, MultiStar had a very effective set-up for a relatively new and small corporation. Having incurred a few losses from Gallentean attacks, MultiStar was in desperate need both of new miners and capable combat pilots.

Eager to get them to work, the MultiStar CEO dispatched several freighters to help the group move their assets to Sankkasen, since living closer would make operations much more efficient. The next months changed the dynamic of the group somewhat, each showing a clear interest in different sides of the business. ET showed a strong interest in combat operations and engaged in numerous combat drills to sharpen his skills. It wasn't long before he joined several combat ops far beyond the capabilities of his vessel.

ET also identified several key aspects of the business that could be improved, and submitted a proposal to improve communication and organisation within the corporation. Impressed with the draft, CD charged ET with the creation and management of the public relation and communication array, which would enable the corporation to streamline the flow of information both publicly and internally. The array was a great success and a few months later, ET was promoted to CFO - a position he holds to date.
