Dragonstar Racing Team (DS) is the old name of a leading team in the ISRC Racing League, which currently survives as Scuderia Dragonstar after a merger with the Scuderia Caille team in season VI.

History

The Dragonstar Racing Team first showed on the tracks for Race 7 (out of 20) in Season I of what was then known as the GLS Frigate League (now ISRC Racing League). Originally the brainchild of Kayleigh Jamieson, soon her exploits on the track got the attention of more of her colleagues at Dragonstar and only the rules of the League at the time prevented the corporation from fielding racers en masse for each race.

The team remained a subsidiary of the Dragonstar corporation for as long as Ms. Jamieson was employed with the corporation. Even after the League rules were changed to allow teams to hire pilots from outside their home corporations, the Dragonstar Racing Team persevered one more season hiring exclusively pilots with past or present ties to the Dragonstar corporation. This fact was a major contributor to the familiar atmosphere and tight spirit of cooperation within the team.

Before its merger with Scuderia Caille, the team was also well-known for Kayleigh’s race reports – her written impressions and recollections of the races published on the League forum, from the biased perspective of what the pilot had lived through. The reports were mostly off-character, sprinkled with in-character snapshots.
