Which version of DirectX should I be using?

This error message is displayed if DirectX 9 is not installed.

DirectX 9.0c is required to run EVE. The game will not run using DirectX 8xx.

How do I know which version of DirectX I have on my computer?

To check which version of DirectX you have, press the 'Start' button and select 'Run', type 'dxdiag' into the edit box and hit Enter. When you do this a window will pop up, and on that window's System tab you will find information about which DirectX version you are currently running.

How do I install DirectX 9.0c?

Go to this web page: DirectX 9.0c. On the left side of the screen select DirectX 9.0c Runtime under the Quick link section. From the new window choose the language for the installation and hit GO. On the next screen click the Download link to start the download. To start the installation immediately, click "Open" or "Run this program from its current location." To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later date, click "Save" or "Save this program to disk."

Do I need to update any drivers?
