Used to generate a Cynosural field at a starbase, which may then be used by any jump-capable ship belonging to a pilot of that system's sovereign entity.


Usage

They are generally used to provide a safe jump-point for friendly capital ships as arriving ships will have the protection of the starbase's turrets when they arrive in the system.

A pilot wishing to use the cynosural beacon generated by an array owned by his alliance should right-click his ship whilst in jump-range of the beacon and select the 'Jump' option. This option will not display if there are no beacons in range which that pilot has the ability to use.

Restrictions

This structure has the following anchoring restrictions:

  • The Cynosural Navigation upgrade must be installed in the system.
  • May only be installed by corporations belonging to the sovereign entity.
  • Only one may be anchored per system.
  • May not be anchored any closer to the starbase shield than 15km.
  • May not be anchored inside the starbase shield.
