Crucifire (Character)
OriginEtna's pre-capsule history can be traced to a development studio station operated by The Leisure Group, located in the Oddelulf system of the Molden Heath region. She and a fraternal twin, Boris Ingard, were born late YC88 in the lower wards of the crime-ridden station to the proprietor of a brothel. The identity of their father was never documented. Not eager to inherit the family business, Etna relocated to the State without authorization and was discovered by Caldari immigration officers in Ikami in YC110. She was placed back into the custody of the Republic where medical professionals discovered she was capsule compatible. She entered into the Republic University's capsuleer program shortly afterwards. Into the podHer performance in the program was initially exceptional—particularly in the use of electronic systems and small turret operation—but was troubled by the effects of a Drop addiction and minor criminal charges. Still, the threat of organized attacks by Sansha's Nation was looming on the horizon, and Etna was pushed towards graduation due to the Republic's increased need for adept pilots to combat the Sansha menace. She was not popular among peers, and was given the callsign Crucifire as an insulting reference to the Amarrian frigate—the Crucifier—but her negative view of the Republic and talent with turret destabilization led her to embrace the callsign. Etna received her CONCORD issued Capsuleer License on YC113.01.01 and immediately refused offers to enlist with the Tribal Liberation Force. Within several weeks of getting her first taste of capsuleer combat in Fountain, she had the attention of authorities in Federation space regarding multiple acts of aggression towards customs officers and civilian industrialists. Investigation determined Etna's clone body to be under the control of a Rogue Drone collective that referred to itself as ENTITY. Within a short amount of time, she had engaged in a several of acts of terrorism alongside other drones and hijacked capsuleers, including disruption of DED operations and the attempted abduction of civilians from Intaki V. Possible causes for this include implant hacking or nanite poisoning, although the cause was never determined because a destruction of Etna's hydrostatic capsule and transfer to new clone body caused a loss of connection from the A.I. collective. She was sighted weeks later in Outer Ring, far outside of Federation jurisdiction, operating with normal capsuleers again. Sansha's NationEtna was swayed by the rhetoric of Sansha Kuvakei during his return in YC113 and she pledged her allegiance to his cause. Her reasoning for this was never publicly stated, though it's likely she was influenced by her time as part of a hive mind with the A.I. collective. She sought out the Nation loyalist capsuleer alliance Shaktipat Revelators—spearheaded by the wanted terrorist Ghost Hunter—and was initiated into a sect operated by the capsuleer Niraia to devote herself further. She became involved in operations supporting Sansha's Kuvakei's campaign as well as a coordinator of minor attacks aimed at opponents of Sansha Nation. Etna engaged in numerous acts of terrorism during her time as a supporter of Sansha Kuvakei, including but not limited to; abduction of civilians and military personnel, destruction of civilian facilities, construction of an illegal Hypernet facility, disruption of DED operations, disruption of military operations and murder. Following a disagreement that resulted in a reshaping of Shaktipat Revelators, Etna and Niraia relocated to the region of Curse but soon went seperate ways. Etna remained a vocal supporter of Sansha Kuvakei for several months, but after becoming quiet for some time she later publicly renounced her support for him, regretfully expressing concern he is incapable of fulfilling his original vision due to a suffering campaign and unwillingness to fully accept capsuleer aid. During this time Etna founded the corporation Horns Of Steel, and with a small roster of pilots she began a tenuous relationship with the Guardian Angels division of the Angel Cartel. It was there in Curse she flew under the command of Securitas Protector, a capsuleer she initially met in Outer Ring, and her corporation was enlisted into his newly formed alliance. She became a key figure in the alliance's operations across Curse and its neighboring regions, as well as sighted operating in Fountain again, before suffering an apparent nervous breakdown and dropping off the grid in late YC113. Current activityAs of YC114, Etna has been sighted in numerous systems of varying security status, throughout several regions, quoting apocryphal scriptures deemed heretical by the Theology Council. She is a recent convert to the faith of the Equilibrium of Mankind and has been given the title Kareem Haath by her spiritual leader Koronakesh. Etna is a member of his capsuleer organization dedicated to achieving the goals of the terrorist death-cult and should be approached with caution. Top Contributors For This Page |
