Childhood

Not much is known about Biko's childhood. He grew up on a very wealthy temperate planet in the Gallente Federation. His parents are fairly wealthy and divorced when he was about 7 years old. He continued to live with his mother, who was also the local party leader for the Ecommunist party at the time, and in the weekends he lived with his father. Despite being very intelligent, it took Biko 7 years to complete his HGSE (Higher General Secondary Education) with average grades, where 5 years is standard.

He was also somewhat of a creative mind, his graphic arts teacher making mention of both Biko's talent and lack of discipline. He also learned to play 3 or 4 instruments in varying levels of competency, was part of a youth pop choir and an editor for the school paper for some time, and took part in 2 school musicals. He also dabbled in various sports sometimes.

Around his 17th birthday, he became a volunteer for the local youth society. In the last year of his HGSE he picked up a mild drug habit, and began a relationship with his current partner Deodata, a female from Intaki descent.

Pre-capsuleer Career

After finishing the HGSE, Biko and Deodata started living together and worked various low education level jobs intermitted by considerable periods of unemployment, although he still worked his volunteer job at the youth society most of the time, and later took another minor volunteer job at the local chapter of the Refugees Institute, a chapter which his mother had build up. He still works for both.

He became a member of the Ecommunist party in December 108. His mother was no longer the local party leader at that time. Shortly afterwards, an internal dispute reached it's peak, with several party members leaving the party, including one of the two government council members for the party, a member of the board and Biko's mother. A couple of months later, Biko became a member of the board for the party, a position he still holds.

After another period of unemployment, his mother pushed him to apply for the capsuleer training program. He was accepted for the program, and finished summa cum laude on his theory exam, but needed two attempts on his practical.

Capsuleer Career

After obtaining his license, he broke contact with his mentor after he was assinged a combat mission. He started mining belts alone or with other mostly independant capsuleers and unlike most capsuleers, Biko kept flying the velator for months, and later did the same with his tormentor frigate.

On the 15th of May 110, after the FNS Wandering Saint had crashed into the Ishukone [ISH] HQ, Biko docked there to assist in damage control and search&rescue operations as part of the capsuleer Malkalen Relief effort, and in the following 2 weeks assisted in subsequent recovery operations.

On the 7th of June 110, Biko made a petition [1] and started picketing to move the Gallente Foiritan administration to start negotiations for a diplomatic return of Caldari Prime to the Caldari State. 3 days later, the State conquered Caldari Prime, making his petition superfluous.

2 months after Biko obtained his license, Vulcan Foundry [V.F.] recruited him, and he relocated to Scheenins, but after a month he resigned and started freelancing for The Scope [TS], reportedly because of a disagreement concerning the Rules Of Engagement. He resumed mining the belts like he did before, mostly in the Ancbeu constellation.

A week later, during one of his mining operations, Biko was recruited by Erik Finnegan, an associate of The Scope, to work for his corporation Polytechnique Gallentéenne [PYGAL]. During his time there he learned to pilot exhumers, took part in their wormhole operations, and founded the 10-segrity racing team. When [PYGAL] moved their HQ from Scheenins to Tourier, Biko moved there as well. After working 19 months for [PYGAL], Biko left the corporation to start his own "movement"; Humanitarian Communists [HUCOM], and moved to Tekaima.

On the 25th of March 112, Biko helped organize the capsuleer Pashanai relief effort, following an explosion on the Ministry of War station, and took part in subsequent recovery operations in the following days.

Biko largely withdrew himself from his capsuleer affairs around the second half of 113. There are several rumours about why, including nanite infection, threats and mental instability (halucinations, memory problems, depression and claustrophobia). Some or all of this may be linked to an incident in The Razors Edge Dance Club, owned by capsuleer Driselle Callibri. Biko had become a regular face there, and during one of his visits he reportedly made the mistake of speaking to Nikita Alterana, a capsuleer loyal to the Angel Cartel, who had been drinking "several bottles of liquor". She injured Biko with a bottle, after which Syn Callibri, wife of Driselle, entered the club and talked to her. After the "emotional" conversation that followed, Alterana and Callibri left the club. About a minute later, several gunshots were heard outside the club, and a lockdown procedure was initiated and aborted shortly after. A witness reports there were no fatalities. Shortly before Biko withdrew from his capsuleer affairs, both Alterana and the Callibris did the same. Wether this is coincidence is unknown.

Current Activities

Biko returned to the capsuleer community during the first quarter of 114, at first only with communications, but when the wealthy capsuleer Benilopax started the organization of a new sub-warp race event, he had "to get back in my pod now". He has announced that he will racing in the event and that he is trying to get some members of racing team 10-segrity back together. He does not seem to have resumed his industrial activities.

Personal

Biko tends to keep a low profile. Many people in his enviroment aren't even aware he's a capsuleer. He lives in a fairly cheap home, even by non-capsuleer standards, together with his partner, and has a lot of second hand furniture. He has no children or pets and prefers to spend more time with friends than with family. Like a lot of capsuleers, he doesn't spend a lot of time in his pod. He actually spends more time on his volunteer jobs. His hobbies include writing, holography, music, sports, watching holoreels and playing hologames. He's also seen hanging out and dancing in clubs sometimes. Based on what people around him (crew and dockworkers included) say, he's a quiet but friendly man, with the occasional witty remark, and an interest in philosophy, science and politics.

Appearance

Biko dresses far below even non-capsuleer Gallentean standards. His clothes come from different cultures but are almost always black. A lot of them are damaged, either by wear and tear or purposefully. He usually wears practical Caldari or Minmatar workers pants, accompanied with a Minmatar or Caldari shirt or a Minmatar/Amarrian sweater, and Minmatar leather boots, sometimes complemented with a leather jacket and leather gloves.

His hairstyle is also a multicultural mash, with elements from both mainstream Gallentean fashion and Intaki and Minmatar culture. His hair is long on the top of his head and the back of his neck, and is usually combed to the right side or combed to the back and in a ponytail. The sides of his head are cut short with random patterns shaven inside. He has sideburns and a light beard on his chin, accompanied by an even lighter mustache. He wears no jewelry but a silver ring in his left ear.

Biko has an avarage posture although he has gained a dozen kilos around his waist.
