Crux is, as the name suggests, the central constellation of the Gallente Federation; in earlier times, a great number of Gallente newbies began their careers in this constellation and the constellation is home to Luminaire, the home system of both the Gallente and Caldari, as well as many of the first systems the Gallenteans colonized. While the seat of government is no longer nominally located here (unlike, say, the Throne Worlds) the cultural heart of the Federation still lies here, as well as a vibrant market hub in Oursulaert.
