Caldari Funds Unlimited is an umbrella organization for many of the largest pension funds in the Caldari State. These funds have extremely deep pockets, but they are also extremely careful what they do with their money. The CFU has participated in some great investment programs in the past, but they refrain from anything that is remotely risky.

Caldari Funds Unlimited is the largest independent financial institution in the Caldari State. While it is most known for its pension fund management services, which control three quarters of the retirement funds in the State in terms of total assets, the most important part of its business may actually be its function as the closest thing the Caldari have to a national central bank. The megacorporations depend on CFU, and to a lesser extent on its competitors, Modern Finances and the State and Region Bank, to provide the capital they need to run their daily operations.

Traditionally, Caldari Funds Unlimited has favored extremely conservative investments, such as low-risk corporate bonds, broad-based stock funds, and stocks providing good dividends over growth. However, as the the market has evolved in the last century, CFU has diversified into new instruments like foreign treasury bonds and growth stocks.

Due to its unique ownership structure and its position in the financial industry, Caldari Funds Unlimited is accorded a number of special privileges by the Caldari megacorporations, most notably the ability to run the only independent megacorporate currency exchange in the State.
