CONCORD (Mechanics)

Concord are the police of New Eden, and rapidly respond to criminal acts committed in 1.0 to 0.5 security space. If you commit a crime while Concord is on duty, they will destroy your ship without fail.

The police response is colloquially referred to as being "Concorded" or "Concordokkened."

Concord and You

Concord are a reactionary force which provides consequences for criminal behaviors. If a player shoots a fellow player in secure space, or commits other actions that Concord has deemed unacceptable, they will respond rapidly and in force. It is considered an exploit to dodge Concord's response. They will never act preemptively.

Behaviors Concord will respond to

Concord will respond to a number of activities by the player, listed below.

  • Damaging or committing an act of aggression against a player when you do not have the right to do so
  • Using remote repair systems on NPC ships
  • Using remote repair systems on criminal players
  • Attacking Concord
  • Jumping into High Security Space while under a global criminal flag
  • Jumping into a high security system within the Sanctum constellation when your security status is low
  • Damaging or committing an act of aggression upon a member of your alliance

Behaviors Concord will not respond to

Concord will not respond to these behaviors:

  • Locking onto a player
  • Using a cargo scanner on a player
  • Using a remote repair module on a player (Warning: when the player becomes a criminal while already repairing him, concord will kill you without a warning. This is an intended game feature. See Bug#77540)
  • Jumping into a high security system outside of the Sanctum constellation when your security status is low
  • Shooting Asteroids
  • Shooting a player against whom you have Kill Rights
  • Damaging or committing an act of aggression against a fellow Corporation Member (only if in a Player Corporation, NPC corporation members can't shoot each others legally without prior flagging, like thieving)
  • Damaging or committing an act of aggression against the Faction Navies
