"This corp is a family. You cannot break us." - Corp Motto

Body Count Inc. was EVE's first truly dedicated mercenary corporations. Its pilots are selected exclusively for their ability to perform selflessly as part of a team. BDCI is a corp of thinkers and innovators where honor and integrity are more than just words - they are a way of life.

As one of the founding members of Mercenary Coalition, the corporation earned widespread fame. After the dissolution of Mercenary Coalition, the corporation left the spotlight for a while to try to find its place in eve. In late 2008, they eventually joined up with their former arch nemesis Against ALL Authorities and have been a member of that alliance since.

History

Body Count Inc. was founded 2003-11-15 with the intention of being a low-sec pirate corporation. It was, however, found early on that while fun, the rewards were too limited and the goal was changed to honing combat skills. The corporation established itself as a mercenary force in April 2004.

Pre-Mercenary Coalition

April 30, 2004 saw BDCI in a mercenary contract for the first time. The target was a 30-man corporation named Jurai Blood. Over the course of two days, BDCI caused enough damage that the Jurai Blood disbanded within a few weeks of the attack.

The second contract for BDCI occured two weeks later, starting in May 15. The target corporation was The Freedom Fighters and for over two weeks, BDCI hammered away. TFF eventually dissolved following the attack.

Directly following the previous contract, BDCI took on a one-month contract against Celestial Horizon Corp.. The contract against CLS saw CYVOK rise to the CEO role, and resulted in CLS stepping up their efforts to build a solid PVP wing. This contract also gave BDCI widespread notoriety as a mercenary force.

The next contract would see BDCI team up with Sharks With Frickin' Laser Beams (FRICK) against Everlasting Vendetta. This was the first large-scale contract took on, and would also mark the first time the term 'Mercenary Coalition' was used.

The following months see more cooperation between BDCI and FRICK in contracts against Vengeance of the Fallen, Fountain Alliance and Phoenix Alliance in what marks the end of the Great Northern War.

Mercenary Coalition

In February 2005, corporations North Star Networks and The Corporation announce that they are joining Mercenary Coalition and the alliance is formally established in May 5, 2005.

As a founding member of Mercenary Coalition, BDCI was involved in several famous campaigns, including Prohibition, a contract against Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate. IAC, along with then allies Against ALL Authorities would later on become one of Mercenary Coalitions most persistent enemies, culminating in several wars as well as the destruction of multiple supercapital ships and an outpost egg.

In 2007, Mercenary Coaliton embarked upon their largest contract so far, in what would become known as the Northern War. In this campaign, forces spearheaded by Mercenary Coalition conquered several regions and displaced multiple alliances in a brutal blitzkrieg. One of the largest alliances in the game, Dusk and Dawn disbanded as a result of their staggering losses during this campaign.

It was after the war against the North that the traditional MC enemies AAA and IAC would launch their invasion into Querious, a region then held by FIX. For over a month, MC, FIX and their allies fought a desperate defensive war against overwhelming odds.

The tides of war finally turned at 19:01 eve time on August 22, 2007. The forces of MC and FIX had set up for yet another defence of the 49-U6U station system, a system that was just at the brink of losing sovereignty, with a large hostile force reported to be arriving from the neighboring region of Catch. Allied forces quickly set up at range on the 4-07 gate, but as hostile battleships poured through, the call was made to pull back from the gate. The allied forces had just barely cleared the grid when the system ground down to a halt. This was the result of the unveiling and doomsday device activation of Armaggedon Dawn, the first ever Mercenary Coalition titan.

This titan was later instrumental in pushing the invaders back into Catch, in a campaign that saw the addition of Band of Brothers on the allied side, and the capture of outpost systems 25-S and FAT-6P. Unfortunately, the titan also proved to be one of the most short-lived titans in the EVE, following its destruction by the combined efforts of Against ALL Authorities and Red Alliance.

Tortuga

Throughout 2007, relations between Mercenary Coalition and former employers Band of Brothers had become more and more strained. This eventually resulted in the formation of Tortuga, a coalition of the mercenary forces of MC, KIA, Ev0ke, 0utbreak and later Daisho Syndicate. The goal was the capture of the Period Basis region and the creation of a mercenary haven.

Tortuga eventually failed and Mercenary Coalition was forced to withdraw from Period Basis. This led to the dissolving of the alliance in May 2008.

Post-MC

In the aftermath of Tortuga, BDCI briefly joined former allies Daisho Syndicate. It was, however, felt that BDCI's expertise was not utilized to the best of its abilities, and the corporation chose to leave the alliance shortly thereafter.

BDCI then became one of the founding members of The Requiem. The alliance was, however, short-lived as differences between the member corporations and a failed attack on the Fountain region caused the alliance to disband a mere two months after its creation.

Against ALL Authorities

In late 2008, BDCI initiated talks with their former arch enemies Against ALL Authorities. By the time AAA launched its invasion into Goonswarm space, BDCI pilots were flying alongside their once most feared enemies, and this eventually led to BDCI being accepted as full members of AAA in January 22, 2009.
