Black Thorne Corporation (Player corporation)
What are Black Thorne's aims and goals?Black Thorne is primarily a Production and Trading corporation. We specialise in Mining, Production and the trading of Trade Goods and Player Produced goods. We already have an extensive library of blueprints and a healthy corp wallet while also boosting the income of its members. We have currently build and sell Freighters with the future goal to produce Capital class ships. We have a competent security division to cope with protection for low security operations and for small/medium war declaration hassles all members are expected to assist in times of conflict in a role fitting there skills. We have extensive support from the numerous alliances and corporations within the region we operate in.
A little history lesson by BTCs current CEO Mallinthas:Black Thorne was originally started as a corp solely for the characters of Calsak. Fed up of being a small cog in someone elses machine He wanted out to be his own boss. He was fed up of demands being placed on him with the threat of being expelled from the corp. So, with the mains from his three accounts, Rose Thorne, Treacle Tart and Calsak he left his old corp in 0.0 and headed back into Empire. The goal was to solo mine with his three characters, build a library of BPO's and create a small industrial T1 business. This state of solo existance was however short lived as he found several real life friends and their friends wished to join , as well as some people for his old corp. He thought the company might be welcome and so he rented some web space and started a site. Before long word of mouth plus requests to get more members began and today this is BTC. As with any corporation peoples careers take them in different directions this lead to the formation of a more PVP orientated corporation “Divinity Within” created and joined by numerous BTC veterans including Calsak. BTC had found itself with a New CEO in Senyek Notlim and a new direction capitalising on the corporations ability to produce freighters. The corp setup a base in low security systems which had been scouted and diplomatic relations organised with the locals by BTC's former recruitment manager Maine River and Logistics manager Jock Mctavish. Over time BTC evolved to be able to provide its members with numerous benefits ran by division managers who had earned and gained the trust of the BTC Directors.
What does Black Thorne stand for?Ultimately BTC is a corp of no pressure. Pressure was the one thing Calsak hated about the 'old life'. BTC its members will never be forced to do anything they do not wish to do. Whether this is to move into low sec, PvP or mine for no return. BTC will always attempt to give members a choice. Unlike some other corps BTC is not a dictatorship, opinions and polls are always at the front. We want the members opinions and questions are always welcome. All we ask is they are polite and constructive, We will always listen to suggestions and reply with thoughts whether for or against it.
Corporation PolicyBTC is an anti-pirat, anti-griefer corporation. It operates a Not Red Don't Shoot (NRDS) Policy within Low-Sec. In 0.0 a Not Blue Shoot (NBSI) It policy is in effect, but valid targets must still be combat ships. We do not engage miners or haulers. Destroying a pilot’s pod is not permitted in any system under any condition. BTC does not condone or support theft (ore or loot), can-flipping or any form of scamming.
