Arek'Jaalan: Acquisition
OverviewThe primary purpose of the Acquisition Division of the Arek’Jaalan Project is to make acquisition of any materials or items pertinent to the advancement of the Arek’Jaalan Project. The responsibility of the Acquisition Division also includes acquiring and safeguarding aids in forms of tangible goods and supplying stocked materials to various Divisions for logistics and researches. It is the responsibility of the Acquisition Division to ensure the safe keeping of the acquired items relevant to the research and as such, security and the integrity of its members are of utmost importance to the success of the Division. AcquisitionsItems in consideration of the acquisition for the Research includes any that are pertinent to furthering Arek’Jaalan research. The specifics include:
In addition, the Acquisition Division also accepts contributions in ships and modules for logistics and stockpiling of assets for the Security Division. For a preliminary inventory listing of the items in consideration for the acquisition, please refer to the following link below: Arek'Jaalan: Acquisition Inventory Listing ProceduresThe main responsibility of the Acquisition Division is to maintain a sound inventory of items and materials pertinent to the Arek’Jaalan research. For an efficient and effective inventorization of the sought items, following procedures will be followed. AcquisitionSince the Acquisition Division is still at its infancy, most of the items derive from individual donations within the members of the Divisions and donations from selfless and munificent tycoons and pilots. The Acquisition Division will continually receive donations of any items in any quantities as long as those received are pertinent to the Arek’Jaalan Research. The items include and are not limited to those specified on the Inventory Listing. While the compilation, archiving, and documentation of research data, communications data, news media reports, theories, and/or any knowledge relevant to the Arek’Jaalan Research will be the responsibility of the Archiving & Documentation Division, the acquisition, documentation, and safeguarding of any tangible materials & items will be the responsibility of the Acquisition Division. Please refer to the Project Lead for any prospective contributions or the inventorization of sample data from various researches for documentation & future usage. Inventory ListingThe Inventory Listing will be continually updated reflecting the latest figures on those items acquired. New items will be listed once the Division deems that those items are relevant to the Arek’Jalan Research. Any items even as mundane as soil samples derived from Anoikis will be documented and archived accordingly to the Inventory Listing and stockpiled and safeguarded at a safe location for future research. For the Preliminary Arek’Jaalan Acquisition Inventory Listing, please refer to the link above. AQ Projects & ResearchProjects run within the AQ division are listed below. Arek'Jaalan: Site OneAs mentioned in the Fourth General Meeting we have undertook on a joint construction project in the system of Eram. The aim is to build a foundation for future Arek'Jaalan spacebound projects such as research libraries and artifact museums. Broken down into multiple phases, Phase I construction is focused on providing a foundation that can serve as a prototype for future site construction projects. Although limited in functionality to begin with, the items requisitioned for the construction of the Site One will be used for further expansions. As new technologies are created, it will be able to grow without any further contributions from capsuleers. Under the premise that the construction of the Site One will be relocated to low-sec area if the acquisition of the construction materials are not completed by November 8th YC113, materials were directly contracted to Hilen Tukoss and the Acquisition Division for the inventorization. Having met the deadline, the construction started immediately. The Site One: Antiquus went live for public access on November 30th YC113. Project Dutch GunOn July 13th YC113, Hilen Tukoss requested the acquisition and compilation of various Sleeper artifacts from capsuleers as part of the Project Dutch Gun. Named after the pilot DutchGunner who made a considerable donation to jumpstart the acquisition, the purpose of the Project encompassed the funding and building of a comprehensive “library of Sleeper goods.” Via Arek’Jaalan mailing list, Hilen Tukoss requested single samples of each artifact categorized into groups with an approximate market value of 0.7B ISK. Through the munificence of the Arek’Jaalan community, the Phase I of the Project Dutch Gun was fulfilled merely several hours after the request was made. In addition, the Project was completed without the need of the initial funding provided by the pilot DutchGunner. Phase I Evaluation conducted by Hilen Tukoss and his Eifyr & Co. Research Team has been disseminated to the wider Arek'Jaalan community. Please refer to the link followed for the Evaluation. Further Information:
Project AstrosurveyWork in Progress A'J Projects Requiring AcquisitionsArek'Jaalan projects that require the assistance of the AQ division in gathering necessary materials are listed below. The Wyr Alternative ProjectThe Project was conceived in order to explore alternative avenues of interfacing with Sleeper data systems upon the destruction of the much sought-after Trinary Data. Divided into two distinct phases, the methodology of the Phase One included examining Trinary usage in various Sleeper relics. On July 27th, YC113, Cicaedis Pritchard requested an access to the following Sleeper-related items:
The requested items were subsequently provided to Cicaedis Pritchard for the Project. Further Information: Project Macaper's EyeIn order to examine how integral the Sleeper Technology has been in developing the Gallente's Aurora Ominae Doomsday Weapon, under the official sanction of Hilen Tukoss and his Eifyr & Co Research Team and tacit approval of the Ethics Committee, Myxx undertook to acquire two Aurora Ominae blueprints. On July 30th, YC113, the Acquisition Division obtained two original blueprints and were subsequently contracted to Myxx. Of the two blueprints contracted, one is in possession by Hilen Tukoss and other by Myxx for the analysis. The crux of the Project was to examine how Sleeper Technology that pre-dates the opening of the Wormholes made its way into developing the Doomsday Weapon. Further Information: Project ThetaProjet Theta attempts to create new Capsuleer technology by studying Rogue Drone materials. This includes ships, AI-cores, modules and rigs. Project Theta does not intend to create destructive technology, but rather a set base for future inventions. The goals of the Project will be fulfilled by studying known Rogue Drone technology and finding new unknown ones, and reverse-engineering them. On August 8th, YC113, Norman Vales requested the following materials from the Acquisition Division in preparation of drafting first two blueprints for the Project:
The requested items were subsequently contracted to Norman Vales for the Project. Project RhoThe purpose of Project Rho is to collect sensor data and physical samples from all sizes and types of Rogue Drones for analysis and compiling into the Rogue Drone Database. Lead by Authochthonian of the Rogue Drone Division, the analysis of the Rogue Drones will be compared to all known Empire Drone Technology and Capsuleer vessels in a comparative study. As such, various items pertinent to all drones including T1, T2, Navy Issue, 'Integrated,' and 'Augmented' drones are to be collected for further studies. Following items are contracted to authocthonian for the research: 'Augmented' xxx 'Augmented' xxx 200M ISK will be allocated to purchase the remaining materials. (WIP) (WIP) (WIP) (WIP) (WIP) (WIP) DonationsBesides the initial funding of 1B ISK and 2B ISK provided by the pilots DutchGunner and The Antiquarian, respectively, the Acquisition Division of the Arek’Jaalan Project is solely funded by the members of the Division. As such, just like any other ventures, the Division’s ability to acquire artifacts is susceptible to the market conditions. The cost of acquiring all the artifacts and materials associated with the Sleepers and Ancient technologies amounts to at least tens of billions of ISK conservatively. In order to expedite the acquisition, the interested parties are encouraged to make donation of any items relevant to the Sleepers & Ancient technologies. Weekly UpdatesEach week, The Antiquarian provides a report on the Acquisition Division's progress towards its goals, as well as updates on its current and upcoming tasks. Those mails are mirrored here as well as in the main archive. There was no weekly update for week 1.
