Alden Balveda is a pilot with Band of Builders Inc.. He flies Minmatar battleships, battlecruisers, heavy assault and reconnaissance cruisers. He also has high T1 manufacturing skills, able to build any T1 product up to carriers and freighters with minimum wastage.

Joining Band of Builders Inc.

Alden Balveda is a graduate of the prestigious Republic University of the Minmatar Republic. Following graduation he immediately set about embracing the complexities of the industrial machine in the region of Heimatar. At the same time he began to mine, enjoying the peace of the belts.

As time went on Balveda was drawn to the low-sec space adjoining the Metropolis trade hub Hek. With little knowledge of aggression legislation or of the various pirate groups in the area, he flew his Thrasher class destroyer into the unknown. After a few run ins with pirates, a pilot named Sergle stumbled across Balveda mining rocks in a belt in Otou. They chatted and Sergle invited Alden to join his corp Band of Builders Inc. On YC110.08.06 (6th August 2008) Balveda was accepted into the corp, and moved to their low-sec base in Thelan.

Balveda remains friends with both Sonny and Sergle to this day.

Promotions and Moving to the Amarr Empire

Soon Alden became involved in corporate operations, including running POS reactions and recruiting new members. Through his work the active member base of -BoB- grew to around 10. During this time BOB moved first to Gaknem in Tash-Murkon, then to Fahruni in Domain to join old allies in Libera Alliance.

Balveda's responsibilities in the corporation grew. He enlisted Kai Honsou to assist with recruitment. He coordinated corporate T1 production to support the T2 line, and built tens of battleships and battlecruisers for member use. He also organised myriad small mining, missioning, wormholing, and even the occasional PVP operations.

However, as the Summer of YC111 (2009) wore on Balveda realised many of these new members were not of the same mindset as the older corp members. He became frustrated by the lack of action as -BoB- became involved in the "reformation" of FIX. It was not an easy decision, but in July Alden chose to move out to 0.0 space.

Geminate and Wildly Inappropriate

On YC111.07.17 (17th July 2009) Balveda moved out to Q-TBHW to join Gladiators of Rage and Wildly Inappropriate. When he arrived in the region WI. were still consolidating their territory, having arrived a few months earlier. As a result Balveda was involved in several major engagements with SOLAR, Atlas and Cry Havoc.. Whilst in Geminate Alden learnt a lot about 0.0, alliance warfare, and PVP in general.

In late YC111 (2009), Balveda made the decision to return to his home with BOB. He had felt little cohesion in 0.0, with High Command forming a loyal core whilst the members failed to form any allegiance to Corporation or Alliance. So in the week following Christmas Balveda packed up his hardware and quietly evacuated to The Forge, leaving Geminate behind for good.

With hindsight, this was a somewhat fortuitous decision. In January YC112, only days after Balveda's departure, Geminate fell, with WI. pulling out to empire.

A Return to Band of Builders Inc.

On YC112.01.07 (7th January 2010) Alden Balveda rejoined -BoB-. This entailed moving assets 30 jumps across the galaxy. The corporation was in the process of settling in the region of Khanid, and Balveda assisted in the establishment of a high-sec base in Palas, and a low-sec base in Nandeza.

He has recently been working as a freelance military operative for the Royal Khanid Navy, improving -BoB-'s standings by defending Khanid sovereignty around Palas. There have also been limited reports of Balveda operating around Nandeza, typically in small skirmish groups with other members of -BoB-.
