ACT YC110 September:Protracted Warfare in MK-YNM and Related Sovereignty Changes

Warfare over the outpost system of MK-YNM began with a major attack by battleship and support forces of the Ethereal Dawn, Intrepid Crossing and Legion of xXDEATHXx alliances on 110.09.14. The defending alliances of Mostly Harmless, Utterly Harmless and the Guardian Federation deployed considerable assets in response, including multiple capitals and a Leviathan-class titan registered to Mostly Harmless. The latter ship was able to destroy 48 attacking vessels out of a total of 180 losses to the attackers. Defenders lost 111 vessels in the course of the action, including 4 dreadnoughts and 1 carrier. The apparent objective of disabling a cynosural jammer was not achieved. A further attack on 110.09.16 again involved Ethereal Dawn and Intrepid Crossing, with additional forces from SOLAR FLEET and Legion of xXDEATHXx. The battle revolved around multiple starbases operated by Mostly Harmless, with control tower defences accounting for 21 losses amongst the attackers. The defenders again deployed capital assets though the Leviathan-class did not make its presence felt and a Mostly Harmless carrier was lost. Defending forces took heavier losses in this engagement, losing 141 vessels altogether. The attacking forces lost 133 vessels and are not reported as achieving their aims, leaving CONCORD analysts to conclude an indecisive outcome to this engagement. The critical engagement over MK-YNM appears to have come on 110.09.28, when attackers from SOLAR FLEET and Legion of xXDEATHXx were able to jump capital assets into the system. Analysis of CONCORD listening post data indicates heavy fighting around a Mostly Harmless starbase. That attacking capitals were present indicates cynosural jamming was lifted at some point on that date. The balance of casualties also indicates the day was carried by the assaulting forces, with defenders taking 107 losses to the attacker's 36 vessels lost. Some five days later, on 110.10.03 sovereignty had successfully been contested and reduced to no control. Legion of xXDEATHXx asserted control over the outpost on 110.10.04 and acquired sovereignty on 110.04.27.
