Against a background of sustained fighting in the adjacent system of M-OEE8, Nothern Coalition forces once more pressed the attack on E-OGL4, perhaps seeing an opportunity following recent significant setbacks for BOB/GBC forces and exploiting the ongoing pressure on BOB forces in M-OEE8. The initial attack on E-OGL4 took place on 110.11.02 and saw modest losses on each side. A major battle took place the following day with over 220 battleships destroyed in prolonged heavy fighting.
Having exploited their pressure on M-OEE8 and proving able to stymie the BOB capital fleet, Northern Coalition forces were able to successfully contest for sovereignty in E-OGL4. A period of see-sawing sovereignty in the system from 110.11.04 to 110.11.10 took place but finally settled with Morsus Mihi once more in control of the valuable system. The system was never again seriously threatened by BOB/GBC forces and its recapture by Northern Coalition forces represented a major defeat for the BOB campaign in the Northern quadrant of the New Eden cluster.
