GoonSwarm forces arrived to attack and seize the outpost system of 0OYZ-G almost immediately the sovereignty was transferred to RED Overlord, evidently seeing an opportunity to take the system while it lay at a reduced sovereignty level. GS established two starbases and reinforced the five RED Overlord starbases claiming sovereignty in this seven moon system. On 110.11.09, RED Overlord and Stain Empire capitals engaged in battle with GS forces with the result that a total of 60 capitals were lost. With the balance of losses reportedly slightly to the favour of the defenders, the successful defence of the RED starbases and the destruction of a GoonSwarm starbase meant that this engagement was a victory for the defending forces.
However, reported errors in properly fuelling RED starbases with Strontium Clathrates vital to maintaining reinforced mode apparently led to GoonSwarm forces destroying all of the enemy starbases on 110.11.11, allowing the establishment of their own in place and achieving a clear majority of contesting starbases. Given this, while a boost to defender morale came with the destruction of a GoonSwarm Wyvern-class mothership in the system on 110.11.12, a major counter-attack would have been necessary to save the system from inevitably switching to GS sovereignty. By 110.11.15, sovereignty had been reduced to no overall control and on 110.11.19 sovereignty was acquired by GoonSwarm and subsequently elevated to sovereignty 3 on 110.12.17.
