ACT YC110 July:Major Capital Ship Engagement in 617I-I

An engagement between the Huzzah Federation, their allies Un-Natural Selection, and forces belonging to The OSS took place in 617I-I. The spark for the conflict appears to have been an attack on a Huzzah Federation starbase exiting reinforcement mode. It is known that 617I-I contains a valuable Dysprosium-bearing moon and the exertion of strategic control over this valuable system is likely to have been the overall goal. Pandemic Legion forces entered the fray apparently simply to destroy Huzzah capitals. A further entrant against Huzzah was a Red Alliance capital force. The total capital forces in the field are reported to have been in excess of 100, of which approx. 35 were Huzzah Federation's defense force. Capital losses were reported to breakdown to 8 dreadnoughts and 1 carrier lost for Huzzah, 8 dreadnoughts lost by The OSS, Un-Natural Selection lost 5 carriers, other Huzzah allies lost 4 dreadnoughts and 1 carrier, with OSS ally Blood and Steel losing 1 dreadnought. Ultimately, the attack on the starbase was unsuccessful, with Huzzah Federation managing to maintain the integrity of its starbase's shields until it was secured and reloaded with Strontium Clathrates.
