ACT YC110 July:Capital Engagements and Related Sovereignty Loss in SV5-8N

DED analysts believe the 110.07.25 attack on the Paxton Federation claim starbase in SV5-8N was launched by Against ALL Authorities [-A-] in order to head off the threat of a jump-bridge array held by CVA allies close to their logistics lines. In a closely-fought engagement at the starbase, 16 dreadnoughts were lost by -A- plus 2 by their allies Romania Renegades, while 15 dreadnoughts and 3 carriers were lost by the defending coalition of Paxton Federation, CVA, IAC and assorted 'Providence Holders'. A subcapital engagement at the gate to F9E-KX was far less even, with 106 Providence allied ships being destroyed compared to 24 -A- and Romania Renegades subcapitals lost. Including all capitals, subcapitals and capsules, a total of 166 verified losses were incurred in the course of the battle. Observers report that 3 -A- titans were present in SV5-8N, while a further 2 -A- titans are reported to have successfully halted a Providence Holder relief force in a neighbouring system. The Paxton Federation starbase was destroyed by the -A- forces, whereupon the assault force withdrew having achieved its primary goal. Sovereignty reverted to no control on 110.07.26. Having erected a starbase in SV5-8N, -A- together with allies United Legion became the defenders when a CVA-led Providence Holders fleet attacked on 110.07.27. On this occasion, 10 -A- dreadnoughts were destroyed, while 26 dreadnoughts and 4 carriers were lost by the attacking Providence allies. In total, some 125 Providence allied vessels were destroyed, compared with approximately 50 -A- and United Legion losses. The engagement proved a decisive victory for -A-, establishing their superiority in the system and paving the way for -A- to establish lasting sovereignty in SV5-8N.
