ACT YC110 December:Capital Warfare and Successive Battleship Engagements in 0-W778

Having been rebuffed by the Northern Coalition's determined defence of its various holdings, particularly the tenacious Morsus Mihi, BOB/GBC forces turned to focus on GoonSwarm, aiming to capitalise on the pressure that the new pact with Against ALL Authorities would put on GS. A major attack on the key conquerable station system on 0-W778 in Detorid was launched on 110.12.20, with no fewer than 59 capital ships being destroyed. In the event, the bulk of those capital losses were felt on the attacking side with 10 carriers and 39 dreadnoughts lost by BOB and Executive Outcomes, as against 3 carriers and 7 dreadnoughts lost by GoonSwarm. Having blunted the capital thrust, GoonSwarm and allies KIA alliance settled in for a defensive action which was ultimately successful. Despite heavy fighting in the days following the main capital battle, BOB and allies were unable to successfully contest sovereignty in 0-W778.
