| Stain Empire held level 3 sovereignty over A-CJGE during the battleship engagements. This was successfully contested later in the month, switching to no control on 110.08.12 and subsequently was acquired by GoonSwarm. The system had no outpost at the time but contains two valuable Dysprosium-bearing moons plus Hafnium and Mercury-bearing moons – all key elements in the production of the high-value Ferrofluid and Fermionic Condensates materials.

Given the considerable value of moon-mining operations in A-CJGE, it is unsurprising tht the system should be the focus of occasional major battles. In early August YC110, GoonSwarm forces moved to attack A-CJGE with an initial attack on 110.08.01 being rebuffed by Stain Empire and allied forces. A larger assault took place the next day with 193 confirmed battleship losses across all sides. The Stain Empire/C0VEN/ATLAS defenders suffered heavy losses with approximately two-thirds of heavy ships lost on their side, reportedly including 3 carriers. GoonSwarm forces appear to have been able to successfully exert pressure and maintain sufficient space superiority to go on to successfully contest sovereignty in the system and ultimately bring it under their control in mid-August.
