20th Legion (Player corporation)
The 20th Legion has a rich and interesting history to say the least. It has survived the biggest wars in the game and has held up its end of the bargain in all it has done. We have established a high level of respect and maintain the highest standards of honor and integrity. The overall goal has and is to build a body of dedicated and driven members. We are not for everyone and do not expect all that join to accept our way of existence. We put high demands on our membership and give back to those that give to the Corp. We take care of ourselves and each member with no concern for self or loss always putting the good of the Corp above the individual. Those members that show "Legio Aquila" or "Director" in their info have earned these titles. They have Carte Blanc in all things 20th and are trusted and hard driven examples of what the 20th is about.
History
The beginning - Biomass WarThe 20th Legion was formed in late 2003 in the midst of the New Venal Alliance [NVA] vs. Biomass war from the members of Draconic Industries at a time when their CEO had gone AWOL and left them stranded in Venal in a 0.0 war with no assets and support. This trial by fire set the standard for what has become a powerful and well organized entity in the world of Eve. The Great Northern WarAfter the Biomass war ended, it became apparent that there was a great deal of tribulation within the leadership of the [NVA] led by Jade Constantine, and so after two months of political debate and argument the [NVA] folded and from the ashes came the Phoenix Alliance [PA]. Within two month of its forming the Great Northern War broke throughout the north and was to become the first large scale war in Eve. During this time the Northern Coalition of Alliances [NC] led by Jade Constantine and their allies the newly formed Band of Brothers Alliance set out to eliminate the [PA] and thus the war raged onward for many months across the northern regions of Venal, Tenal and Branch. During the first three month of the war the current leadership of the [PA] was is turmoil and resulted in division and then abandonment of the alliance by its current leadership. In a desperate effort to salvage itself, the remaining members by full majority elected Cochise to be its new leader. After months of continued fighting the [NC] was defeated and the war continued on against Band of Brothers and allies. Over time it became apparent that things had changed and the reasons for the war had dissipated and so by mutual consent and treaty the war ended in early 2005.
Deciet & Unexpected HelpAfter several months of peace within the [PA], it was decided by 20th leadership that it was time for us to move on. By majority vote 20th left [PA] and formed Xelas Alliance [XS] and was then granted ownership of the region of Tenal. Over time relationships with our neighbours the [PA] fractured and resulted in a surprise attack against us in our home system of V7-MID. At a critical time when our friends were turning against us in mass, much to our surprise our most worthy enemy of the past BoB brought a massive fleet from across the map and helped us put down the insurgency. After this great defeat, BoB, in an effort to help us in the future offered us a new home in their newly conquered region of Fountain. It was decided by the [XS] Leadership that this was the best for all and so in a stunning high risk operation led by Cochise, involving more than 200 Industrial and Combat ships, [XS] packed up and in the middle of the night disappeared from Tenal in the north and relocated to Fountain.
LEG.XX.VAL.VICAfter many months of fighting and growing in Fountain, once again the leadership of 20th felt it was time for a change and the main topic was for us to have the opportunity to act as a corp outside of any alliance affiliation for the first time in our history, to have a chance and take a break from alliance leadership and increase the bonds between us as simply the 20th Legion. After a meeting with Dafuzz from Evolution, and head of BoB, Sir Molle, it was decided and agreed this was best and thus a new chapter in our history was started. The 20th spent a large part of late 2005 and 2006 guarding the 0.0 entrances to BoB's empire in Delve. Our relationship with them grew as we the 20th did, and when they re-set every other Corp and alliance to neutral in 2006, the 20th Legion remained with positive standings.
VacationWith the introduction of capital ships and super capitals, the 20th Legion had to decide if we needed a break so at the end of 2006 the Leadership decided to take a one year hiatus from the corp. and try new things and learn new ways. Most active members joined BoB corps directly, especially Evolution. Some wanted to try something different, and joined Serenity Prime and were later absorbed into Triumvirate.
Return of 20th LegionIn December 2007 as a result of many talks and decisions 20th Legion began a new chapter and the Banner went up again in the world of Eve, with the original directors and nearly all of the old school members rejoining 20th. The initial action was to re-build our industrial base to ensure the ability to produce ships up to capitals in-house, to ensure that we would always be able to fight while providing for our members needs and desires. The next step was to regain good standings with BoB and move forward toward greatness once again as the Mighty 20th Legion. Corporate Profile
